Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are one of Hollywood’s busiest couples, so the two sometimes prefer to keep their time off low-key. Case in point? Last year, the love birds rang in the New Year with some chill vibes—think less glitz and glam, more intimate and romantic.

“[They] spent the days leading up to New Year’s in New York,” a source told Page Six at the time. “But they flew back together to Kansas City on Monday.” Partly because of Kelce’s football schedule, the insider noted. Kelce and the Chiefs had practice on December 30 and January 1.

Despite keeping the holiday laidback, their plans still included one of NYE’s most famous traditions: smooching when the clock struck 12. “Taylor and Travis spent New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City and shared a kiss as soon as it hit midnight,” the source added. “It was very romantic.”

The previous year involved more frills, as the two attended a Kansas City party dressed to the nines in coordinating on-theme outfits: a bedazzled minidress for her, and a brown suit for him. In videos and photos shared to friends’ Instagrams, the two could be seen packing on the PDA all night. One such clip that was shared to X at the time but has since been deleted, captured Kelce and Swift locking lips at midnight.

Of course, 2025 ended up being a momentous year for the duo, filled with major milestones like a Super Bowl game, an album drop, and of course, an engagement. Over the summer, the two announced their betrothal with an internet-breaking Instagram post.

Only time will tell how the newly-engaged duo will ring in 2026, but either way, it’s slated to be another banner year for the soon-to-be Kelces. According to Us Weekly, the two are reportedly set to tie the knot over the summer.

“They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help,” the insider said.

“They don’t want a long engagement,” the source continued, adding that the couple “very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”
