Travis Kelce’s shocking drop was intercepted deep in the fourth quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest defeat that has left their playoff hopes in tatters.
With the Chiefs losing 17-10 to the Houston Texans with just over three minutes to go at Arrowhead Stadium, Kelce failed to collect a pass from Patrick Mahomes.
The tight end spilled the ball into the air and allowed Texans star Azeez Al-Shaair to intercept it, handing the Chiefs their seventh loss of the season and sealing the end of their NFL dominance.
Kelce’s fiancee Taylor Swift watched on from the stands as she made another lowkey appearance. This time she brought friends Selena Gomez and Lena Dunham while Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio was also pictured in Kelce’s suite.
According to the NFL’s data, the Chiefs now have just a 15 per cent chance of getting into the playoffs. They need to win all of their remaining games and need other teams to lose multiple times to stand any chance.
The Chiefs have been to five of the last six Super Bowls, winning three, but it appears the NFL’s most famous couple will not be in San Francisco in February.

Swift, whose entrances at Arrowhead Stadium were once the highlight of networks’ broadcasts but have now become top secret, appeared on NBC’s feed just moments before halftime.
Pictures then emerged of her talking to Gomez on social media. A video was also posted showing DiCaprio on the phone in Kelce’s suite with his family and friends.
Sadly, however, they had very little to celebrate as the dominant Texans defense overpowered the Chiefs and inflicted a fatal dagger to their season.
Kelce was anonymous throughout the game, making just one catch off five targets.
After his game-sealing drop, Kelce looked crestfallen as he sat on the Chiefs bench with his eyes shut.
Chiefs fans instantly started streaming out of the stadium after the drop as they admitted defeat and the realization they may not make the playoffs hit home.
There has been speculation that this could be Kelce’s final season in the NFL but he’s yet to address retirement rumors.
He is out of contract at the end of the campaign and, at the age of 36, will naturally be quizzed on if he wants to keep on playing. While his team has struggled, Kelce has had an excellent individual season as he keeps Father Time at bay.

Before Sunday’s game he had five touchdowns and 719 receiving yards to his name, the second-most of any tight end in the 2025 campaign so far.
Earlier in the evening, Kelce strolled into the stadium wearing a black jacket, black pants and black boots, pairing his outfit with some sunglasses despite it being a freezing cold night game.
He was greeted by some loved ones in the tunnel are and stopped to hug them and say hello. Kelce then embraced his mom, Donna, before walking into the locker room.
Swift has only made gameday appearances at Arrowhead Stadium so far this season and, even then, she has made discreet entrances into the Chiefs’ home amid security concerns.
Swift has not attended a Chiefs road game since their playoff win at the Baltimore Ravens in January 2024. The only time she has watched her man away from Arrowhead Stadium since then was last season’s Super Bowl in New Orleans.
