Outlander Jamie shares cruel nickname for Claire in now deleted scene

TV fans got a glimpse of the inner workings of Outlander’s Claire Fraser and her husband Jamie Fraser’s relationship – as his extraordinary nickname for her has been revealed.

The popular show thrilled audiences once again when it returned with the latter half of season 7 as Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan returned as the resilient Claire Fraser and her husband Jamie Fraser. In a now deleted scene, fans got more than they had bargained for when he revealed his slightly awkward nickname for her.

At their friend’s burial, Claire asks if they should have sent word of their arrival before the service. Jamie retorted in the ET exclusive clip: “The day we step foot in the Highlands, everyone will say Jamie Fraser is coming home with his English Witch.”

Taken aback, Claire said: “Is that what they call me? An English Witch?” Unapologetic, Jamie jests: “Frequently… to your face.” He added: “But you didn’t have enough garlic then to know it. They didn’t mean it as an insult, it’s only Highlanders call a thing as they see it.”

The seventh season of Outlander has wrapped up, but lead actors Sam and Caitríona have just dropped an exciting update about the show on their Instagram profiles.

The pair were tagged in a post by The Outlander Collector account, which unveiled a clip from the seventh season, captioned: “Dive deeper into the world of #Outlander with the Season 7 Collector’s Edition or Season 7 Blu-ray and DVD on May 27th!”

It added, “Loaded with exclusive bonus features, including four Untold Scenes and more. Pre-Order Now at the link in our bio.” The video hinted at bonus scenes and previously unseen footage from the gripping seventh season, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

In one scene, Brianna MacKenzie (portrayed by Sophie Skelton) is seen examining a book that has a photo of her adoptive father Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) on the inside cover. Another scene shows Young Ian Murray (John Bell) seemingly praying to God to make him “worthy”, with Claire discovering him in the Fraser’s Ridge church.

A third scene captures a tender moment between Rachel Hunter (Izzy Meikle-Small) and William Ransom (Charles Vandervaart). While many fans celebrated the news of the DVD release, others took to the comments section to share their observations.

One person quipped: “DVD????? Is this 1990????? [sic].” Another fan joked: “Hahahahaha we went back to the stones and traveled to the past [sic].”

One person chimed in: “right? who has a DVD player anymore nowadays [sic]”, a sentiment that was echoed by another user who quipped: “That’s it, I don’t even have DVDs anymore” accompanied by a crying with laughter emoji.
