Justine meets Sonny at the hatchet-throwing range. He’s rented out the space for the night, so nobody will see them together, and he can use the kitchen to make his famous lasagna.

They throw some hatchets, which Justine is terrible at, and eventually sit down for dinner. The acting DA admits it’s the best lasagna she’s ever had.
Sonny steers the conversation to Willow’s trial, and he thinks she should recuse herself. She refuses, as this is a career-making case, but he points out that it will earn her Drew’s wrath if she sends Willow to prison, and he’ll likely try to end her career. Sonny knows that she wants to take him down, and she needs to keep her job to do so; therefore, she should stay away from this trial.
What’s Tracy’s New Role According to Gio?
Gio walks into the Quartermaine mansion and is surprised to see Tracy sitting there. She explains what went down with Ronnie and the will, including kicking the family out. Gio sides with Ronnie and the family, sharing his theory that Monica left the house to her, as she trusted her to hold the family together. Tracy laughs out loud.

Tracy says she’s too harsh and unforgiving for that job, and she shouldn’t have to apologize, as her own family picked Monica’s sister over her. Gio insists they didn’t, they just asked her to be nicer to her and acknowledge Ronnie is part of the family. That’s what the head of the family would do, and she is the head of the Quartermaines now.
Sam’s Family Remembers Her
At Alexis’ place, Molly and Kristina hang out with Scout, who isn’t in the mood for Halloween without her mom. The women convince her to watch “Hocus Pocus,” and Molly heads out to get a surprise.

Kristina and Scout decorate pumpkins and talk about Sam. Kristina shares some memories of her sister, as Scout notes her dad never talks about her mom. Kristina tells the girl to always know she’s not alone, her mom is watching over her, and she has the rest of the Davis girls, of whom Scout happens to be one.
Is Nathan Going to Take Custody of James?
Felicia and Spinelli are out trick-or-treating with James, and they stop by Bobbie’s to show Nathan his son’s costume. They head in, and the boy, dressed as a cowboy, says hi to his dad and makes a beeline for Cody to show him all the candy he got. Nathan is clearly hurt. Felicia introduces Cody to Nathan, and the boy still wants to sort his candy with Cody.

Nathan, Felicia and Spinelli sit down, and Nathan can see how James worships Cody. Felicia says that in time, he’ll form his own special bond with him. Nathan is grateful that James has so many people in his life, especially with Maxie not here. Spinelli says it’s a good reason not to disrupt James’ life, which Nathan takes to mean he shouldn’t enforce custody.
Spinelli panics, but Nathan calms him down. He knows neither James nor he is ready for him to be a full-time father, and right now, he just wants to get to know his son better.
Cody to the Rescue, Again!
As Cody helps James sort his candy, Molly turns up to pick up Halloween cupcakes for Scout. Cody says hello to her and offers to take the cupcakes to her car, but Molly doesn’t need help. He pushes it, grabs the box, and insists.

Cody and Molly say hello to Nathan on the way out to the car, and outside, Cody explains he’s trying to give Nathan and James an opportunity to bond. Molly tells him that was thoughtful of him, and wishes him a happy Halloween. Before she leaves, she says she’s still looking for a way to save the Q’s estate. He tells her she doesn’t have to any longer.
Back inside, James shares a lollipop with his dad and hopes next year he can come trick-or-treating with him. Nathan says he’d love that.
Alexis and Danny Remember Sam
Danny stops by to see his grandma at Alexis’ office, and he, too, misses his mother on the holiday. Danny is also worried about Scout and fears he’s letting his mom down as he can’t keep his promise to look after his sister. Alexis tells him that’s not his fault, it’s Drew’s.

Alexis says the best parts of Sam live on in him and his sister. They embrace, and Alexis tells Danny how much like his mom he is, and that she’d be proud of the man he’s become.
Meanwhile, Molly returns home with the cupcakes, which got a little manhandled when Cody grabbed the box from her. She tells Scout that she ran into James and his family at the diner, and Cody was there as well, which Kristina latches onto to tease Molly about her crush.
Is Faison Alive?
Jason stops by Anna’s office, and the cop needs a favor. She wants him to find out from Britt if there is a possibility that Faison is alive. Anna becomes emotional and has this feeling in the pit of her stomach that Faison’s presence is closing in on her. So, if he’s alive, she has to be the one to finish him.

Jason says he’ll talk to Britt, but reminds her that he’s the one who shot Faison, so trust him that the man is dead. Anna wishes she could be as confident as he is, but when it comes to Faison, she ends up overwhelmed with fear. Jason suggests that’s what Sidwell and his partner want; maybe they are using the threat of Faison to mess with her head and distract her. She sees his point.
Jason gets a text from his son and has to go. Anna thanks him for talking her down.
Jason stops by Alexis’ office to pick up Danny. Danny has a bag of candy, Sam’s favorite, and asks his grandma to give it to Scout and tell her happy Halloween. Danny and Jason leave, and Alexis breaks down into tears. In the hall, Jason breaks a bit of good news to Danny about Monica’s, now Tracy’s, house.
A Dangerous Situation

Across town, Anna gets into her car and leaves a message with Jack to call her back, as she thinks Sidwell is using Faison as a smokescreen. Suddenly, a hand in the backseat grabs her and chloroforms her.
In the Show’s Final Moments
At the range, Justine admits she could end up in a no-win situation with this trial, but she’s going to beat Alexis and make Cain happy. She says she can overcome any odds when she puts her mind to it, tosses a hatchet, and hits a bullseye.
At Bobbie’s, Felicia and the others celebrate Maxie’s birthday, and James blows out the candle, wishing his mom could be here with them. Cody watches from outside.

Alexis returns home and gives Scout the present from Danny. Scout says they should all have a piece for Mommy. They all hug and eat a piece of candy in Sam’s honor.
At the mansion, Tracy tells Gio that the head of the family is not a job she’s suited for, but Gio believes it’s why Monica left her the house. It ties her to the family. Tracy admits he’s right, she needs her family, but so does he.
Jason and Danny walk in and ask where everyone is. Tracy says, hopefully, they will be home soon.
Anna wakes up handcuffed to a chair in a dank, dark room. She screams for help, and a voice comes through a speaker that sounds like an electronic Faison. The voice says, “Be at peace, Anna, you are on your way to a new life!” She struggles to break free and screams.
On the next General Hospital, Ronnie is summoned by someone.
