Caitriona Balfe was an accomplished model before she began working as an actress.

She was a model at the 8th Annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York in November 2002. The Dublin native was just 23 years old at the time.

She walked the runway at The New York State Armory in New York City alongside Alessandra Ambrosio, who went on to become a Victoria Secret Angel.

Caitriona wore a barely-there animal print ensemble and a white and orange négligée on the catwalk.

She previously said working as a model affected her self-confidence.

She said: “Modeling does two things. It gives you a really, really tough exterior and then a really broken interior.

“It’s really tough. I have so much admiration for girls who can come through that unscathed.”

Caitriona, now 46, worked as a model for 12 years and walked for designers including Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana and Max Mara. In 2009, she left New York for Los Angeles to pursue her acting dream.
